This battle is quite an easy one. Adreu does not have high HP. Just
that she is quite cruel and crafty. She can drain HP from Rinoa [about
700+ HP each time.] She has a couple of strong spells such as the
Meteor. Do not use spells such as Ultima, Flare or Meteor as these
spells does damage not only to Altemisia and Rinoa too. So it's a good
reason not to use G.Fs. Rinoa's stats depends on how much HP that you
have accquired or you can just junction 100 spells to boast up her HP.
Also a good idea to junction elementals like Fire, so that Rinoa can
absorb Fire and damage Adreu when you summon the Ifrit at the same
time. So try to finish off Altemisia before she finishes off Rinoa! The
game will end if Rinoa was killed. Do not use Squall's Limit Break,
Have Irvine as his Wave Bullets could do 9999 HP damage to the BOSS
and only effect a single target. Thanks to for the
corrections.

After the battle, both Laguna and Elone will come to you and you will
have another sequence. Elone will drove away the spirit of Aderu and
thus bringing back her spirit. After a short chit chat, Laguna and
Elone will leave and you will have an FMV:

Time started to compress and thus forcing Squall and his party back
to time... Your party will start to fly in mid-air and just then they
will pass through the deep ocean. Next you will see a flock of birds
circling the tunnel of light and Squall will be brought back to time..
PS: You can't use any of those fake Save Points.
As you landed on ground, noticed that Rinoa has disappear! There you
will find a Save Point. Before approaching it, make sure that your
party are back to full health and touch the Save Point. Next a dozen
of them will appear. Now walk down the pathway to the door. Next the
screen will turn white and you find Edea [remember the time in Disc 1
when Rinoa meet Edea at the Presiden's Mansion.] Next you will find
Edea-like structures and split into two. It's BOSS fight between the
witch of different era. Now you need to fight about 11 of them before
you will fight the BOSS.

Well as you battles, you will proceed to the next place. The first
eleven of them are easy except for the Final Witch. The place will
change each time, you have defeated a witch. They are quite easy, I
actually risked my battles in order to find the stats by using the
Leviathan's Recovery and found the stats. Fortunately I managed to
defeat them by using Cerebrus and Meteor.

After eliminating all those disturbances, you will be transported to
an unkown place where you will meet the Final Witch. The Witch is
quite tough if your characters have very low HP. The BOSS has a
creepy touch which does 1,000+ which will bring low HP characters to
death easily. After you have injured the BOSS severely, it started to
have a countdown of 5, similar to the Jenova Sythesis last battle at
North Crater and it will cast Ultima on your members. Defeat the BOSS
and you will be back at Edea's house! Summon G.F Eden [hopepfully that
you have accquired "Aid" ability.

At Edea's House, head for the place where you have meet Edea [just walk
up and turn right and enter the door on the north]. There you will have
a sequence and you will have a short FMV of Altemisia Castle [the place
for the final showdown!]
Now the area will switch to a screen with two bodies of dead White SeeD
cadets. Next head up and make a turn at the stairs, hope that you have
remember the path during the childhood [it's has blocked off by those
strings!]. Next you will find more death bodies and a Draw Point
[Triple] there and you will need to head up that huge chain. There were
three doors on the left of the path. Press Circle to jump on the ledge
in front of the doors.

Just head for the Chocobo Shrine and get that free Chocobo. Now return
to the door where you have enter. Now walk down the shallow waters of
Esthar and head for the Sabontander Island. There you will find a huge
desert on the left of it. Well, the red dot is the Ragnarok. There you
will also find a door which leads to the right side of that huge chain.
The cities are now surrounded by barriers, except for the damaged
Missile base. Places such as the Cave of Fire, Sentora Ruins, Warship
Island and Chocobo Forests are not being surrounded by barriers.
Inside the Ragnarok as you go down to the elevator you will find a man
[CC Joker] whom will give you the following options:

2. Upgrade your Weapons.

GETTING LOST CARDS GUIDE by Scott Ong
ALL Cards can be obtained from the CC Group members. I have done this
myself as I am too lazy in playing that maddening Card Queen's Card
Quest. This has been tested by me. You can get the cards from the CC
Group members [CC Group Heart and CC Group Diamond (the female cadet on
the left]. I have gotten the following cards from Sue: Ko-Chocobo and
DebuChocobo Card. I have also gotten G.F cards such as the Shiva,
Grasharaboras, Phoenix and character cards [Irvine and Kiros] from the
CC Group Diamond. It is possible to get these cards without doing
any of the maddening card quests. It is possible, but first you must
gotten all the Page 8 cards before you can get Page 9 cards. [Example
you can get Phoenix card if you have missed out any of the Page 8

nightmare! Now as you enter you will be forced to seal all your
abilities except for attacks. Make sure that your characters has gained
enough HP. Now here are some rules for this area...

MAIN PARTY
Squall has the highest attacking power, and he will be the greatest
character. Zell, on the other member, can be a very powerful character
for his damaging special moves. Rinoa is a great magic user and an
ideal healer, plus her Angelo Cannon, packs a punch!
SECOND PARTY
Irvine, in my own opinion, has the second most damaging attacks. [If
you get your hands on his most powerful bullets]. Quistis is another
great character with damaging special moves. She has great stats such
as the highest attacking power among all characters. Selphie is also
a great support healer for you can junction her magic strength to 255
points! Outstanding.

This BOSS isn't quite tough. Just attack as your other commands are
being sealed off. Here are strategy preparations before fighting the
BOSS, has healed your party to full health. To increase your attacking
power, junction magic to your attacks and you will do very devastating
attacks on the BOSS. If the BOSS summons monsters ignore them and
concentrates your attacks on the BOSS. Once you defeated the BOSS, I
would opted for the Magic Command, edges in combat as well as healing
lost HP. Weapons Upgrading also provide you the essentials to increase
your attacking power. You will see the mask broken if you have inflicit
sufficent damage on the BOSS.

After defeat the first BOSS, head right up the stairs. Walk down the
stairs and enter the door on the right. Before you enter, notice that
if you head the southwest and you will find a bell, shrunk it, you will
find the time on the top-left hand corner and have the other party head
for the organ as soon as possible [ASAP], you will find the Omega
Weapon, he is tough. [make sure you have unlock all the abilities]
Next enter the area. Walk down the stairs and you will find another
Green Spot and head up to the door located in the north. You will be at

A smart and a powerful enemy, with decent armor and damage. This is
what I myself will describe it as. It can create tiny troops [Young
Rob and it's unlimited stock] So it's pointless to fight against them.
Worst of all, if it is low on HP, it WILL drain HP from the Young Robs,
thus recharging their HP. A double spell and two Tornadoes/Ultimas at
time is great idea to battle against this BOSS. Just use Wind/Tornado
to create harvoc, not necessary pick G.F. as it's rather useless. Draw
is also not quite a wise choice as you see what spells you can find
from the BOSS. Now choose either Draw [if you do not have Demi] or G.F.
Pick Revive if you have enough Demi in your stock. If you killed more
than two Young Dolmens in a row, the Dolmen will uses its Cannon Blast.

Enter the door located in the north and you will another Green Spot and
you will find two stairways heading up to the other side. Now head down
to the basement. [just walk up]. You will find two doors, one of them
leads to the Armory Room, which can not be entered. Enter the open
door at the middle. You will find a corpse holding a key, press Circle
to examine it and you will fight another BOSS. [notice that there is a
handle there next to the open room? you need to head back here later]

high defensive attributes. Use Demi /Diablo on the BOSS and it will do
9999 HP damage to this cruel monster. By the way, this BOSS has very
high defensive attributes, reducing your attacking power to 1/10!
So it's a wise choice that you have made. Pick Revive dead characters
next as you may want to revive those dead characters. Once you have
does sufficient damage to the BOSS, it will threw away the sword...

SECOND PARTY
Okay, now it's time for the other team to do some business. Head for
the north door of the main hall, where you will find the first BOSS.
Next in the area, walk to the unstable chandelier [whole party] and you
will fall directly onto the banquet room. Examine the hatch and you
will be able to open it. Next walk down and you will find the 4th BOSS,
a flying monster.

This BOSS is quite tough for it has very killing moves. The Lightning
Strike does about 3000+ HP damage against all allies. The BOSS absorb
lightning. Use Fire-based attacks such as Fire 3 [does about 9000+ HP
damage to the BOSS] or Ifrit. Extremely easy if you have Lightining-
elemental defense. The BOSS will counter with Lightning Strike
everytime when your character attack it. Unlock G.F command as you can
make use of the most powerful G.F [Eden] on the next BOSS. The BOSS
WILL encounter your attacks with the Lightning Strike.

Now you have dealt with the BOSS, back to the top floor and head
through the mid-Garden [it has fountain in the middle and has a Draw
Point [Slow] in the top-left corner and a green spot in front of the
fountain.] You will find an organ [which you can messed with it, this
is also the place where you can fight the Omega Weapon]. Here are the
keys for the ORGAN. You can draw Despell from the Draw Point found at
the area.

Now head up the stairs on the right, there you will find the key which

Now controlling the other party, head back to the basement and you will
find a shiny item on the southeast corner of the screen, examine it and
take the key [Key to the Armory]. Next enter the room and you will
fought spooky monsters with no bodies [found at Avadon's Hideout] and
the 5th BOSS of the section.

The first three parts are quite easy. Defeat using Holy-based attacks
[Alexandar, a wise choice]. Attack them until they are defeated. Now
the BOSS will appear, it's rather tough. The Eyes Beam, not only causes
1000+ HP damage and cause the Darkness and Slow status. The BOSS will
counterattack your attack with the Counter grab. Use Heal to restore
lost HP, now it's essential is to unlock Special Moves as the BOSS' HP
are increasing more as you fight on. There is a special technique where
(Status Stare) the Galganture will use and it causes random status
ailments.

After defeating the BOSS, head for the Green Spot outside the basement.
Switch to the second party.
SECOND PARTY
Head for the main hall. Go up the stairs and enter the room located on
the left. Now walk down the light-side corridor [there is a room here
on the left] which should be heading northeast direction. Walk to the
door. There are two elevators at this screen which will only operate if
you have examine all the paintings. Enter the elevator on the left,
and use the Green Spot to switch over. Now for the other party...
MAIN PARTY
NOTE: There is a hidden Draw Point [Ultima before you head upstairs
after defeating the BOSS.]
Head up the stairs on the left and enter the opening door on the left.
Now walk across the path, there is a Magic Stone [Cure 2] and a Save
Point. Now head across and you will reach the screen with the two
elevators, now enter it and switch to the other party. The other party
will go to the other ledge.
NOTE: The elevator would not operate if you does not examine all
paintings.
SECOND PARTY
Now examine the room and you will find a Draw Point plus a key. This

it. Now the water will be drained. Now head for the Fountain [north
from the banquet room]. Check there and you will find the key near
the fountain. Next head back to the banquet room and use the Green
Spot on the left [this will prevent the chandelier from falling].
Switch to the other party.
SECOND PARTY
Now head south and back to the light-side corridor. Examine the door
on the left and use it. Next you will find four coffins. Here is a
diagram. You can draw Holy from the Draw Point found near the coffins.

so take note. The BOSS will summon Ultima before it's death....

A very offensive BOSS. This guy can does an outstanding damage of
8000+ to all allies with his Dark Flare. Here is some essentials you
need to get before the fight:
1. Recovery equiped and G.Fs command sealed off.
2. Alexandar's Sonsei.
3. All character's HP must be ABOVE 8000+ [junction Magic to your
HP, refer to G.F section for more details.]
Well, if you have the requirements, it's time for the battle. Firstlty
cast Cerebrus on your party. Cast Regen to all members. Next cast Aura
on Squall and use his special techniques. Has Squall do the attacking,
Recovery on one character and some Heal 3 to restore lost HP when the
BOSS uses Dark Flare [the BOSS will fly higher and there you will see
a name in the box above]. Have a couple of Raise to revive death
characters. To reduce damage by half, cast Barrier to your party or the
Mighty Guard.

NOTE: There is a hidden Draw Point [Triple] after the battle.
Now do you know that all your commands has been unsealed. Now head
back to the other side through the bell and up to the doorway. There
you will find the last Draw Point [Stop], exit from the area. Now walk
left through the hands of the clock and climb down the ladder. Next
walk right and climb down the ladder. Now head north. There you will
find the last Save Point and the door leads to the place where the
witch Altemisia is.. Make your necessary preparations before the
battles, make sure everyone's HP is at their maximum. Or might as well
use a Tent. Now examine the door and pick the first option.

fact this has been tested by Ciovo as he has start the battle
with Quistis, Rinoa and Irvine! Squall is not necessary to
start the battle!
There you will meet Altemisia [similar to evil Edea...] Next you will
have a short conversation and you will have to battle against the
final BOSS!

ALTEMISIA
She is quite easy if you have accquired all the skills and have
Squall's Lionheart. Just simply cast Aura for a quick victory. OR Cast
Cerebrus and Ultima thrice! Cast Regen too as the battles are
CONTINOUS.
GIVERA
The situation started to changes. Givera is a tough one [not as tough
as the Omega Weapon or the Ultimate Weapon]. This guy not only have
killer moves but also Tornado and Meteor. Use G.Fs except for Brothers/
Grasharaboras/Diablo. The BOSS could cast Demi which will decrease
character's HP greatly. The BOSS could also cause Poison/Darkness/
Blind/Sadness with a single attack. Use Remedy or Cure to counter this
attack. I actually missed out a move. After you have defeated Givera,
the BOSS will use Shockwave Phaser on your party [make sure that your
character's HP is maintain around 6000+ as that move could does damage
about 4000+]
ALTEMISIA-GIVERA
This is another tough battle. The BOSS could cast Meteor [2000+ to
each character] and Tornado [3000+ to each character]. The BOSS could
also take away spells from your character. Bash it up with G.Fs. [
except Carbunkle]. Cast Ulima thrice is also a useful move. The BOSS
occasionally will summon tiny platelets [Level: 42, HP: 9000+] to
attack your party. You can draw Cure from them to restore the status
disorder.] Use Squall's R1 trigger to inflicit more damage on the
BOSS [need to do three times if Squall's attacking power is 5000+]
The BOSS could also cast Holy on your characters. You need to fight
this two times.
FINAL ALTEMISIA
The most dangerous move, Hell Judgement which will reduce every
characters [those in battles] to only 1. Counter with Heal 3 or the
Leviathan's Recovery Command. It could also does a couple of deathly
moves such as the Magic Drain, which will remove the entire lot of
Magic (1 kind). The BOSS occasionally will use Flare on a member
[3000+]. Again, use Squall's finishing move to dealt out damage, about
4 times if Squall's attacking power is 5000+]. So for these battles you
require a chunk of Aura spells. The Hell Judgement CAN'T KILL your
characters! If ALL your members' level is at 100, you will be able to
draw Flare from the BOSS.
NOTE: Defeated characters CAN be revive with Life /Raise / Sosei /
Phoenix Down. But the BOSS could take away defeated characters
with the Angel move. Another character will come...

After defeating Altemisia, Squall was been diverted from his party.
Irvine thinks that the battle is over and thus meeting the rest, lost
in time... Rinoa could not find Squall and was lost in time. Next the
screen changes from white to black, leaving Squall alone from the
rest. Squall keep on calling for his teamates, especially for Rinoa..
Next he will be brought to Edea's house where he meet young Squall
and Edea. Suddenly, Altemisia appears and you will have the sequence
on how Altemisia has transfered herself in Edea's body and mind and
of course how she die. Squall will then tell Edea about a military
academy called SeeD which will inspired Edea and her husband Cid to
form a school for those whom want to join SeeD called Garden and
followed by this FMV:

Squall was walking past a deserted island, feeling depressed as he
can't find his love... Depression in his heart. Now the screen
switches to Rinoa whom is running to search for Squall and was lost
too. Examining her pendant, wishing Squall is all right. Now Squall
will started to have illusions about Rinoa at the graduation ball
and the President's mansion, Rinoa keeping on disappear from Squall's
eyes. Squall can't stand it and fall onto the ground... Just then
Rinoa has found Squall whom is barely breathing. She cries out and the
screen will switch to the rest of the characters... Seifer/Fuujin/
Raijin at Balamb Dock, Laguna visiting the tomb of his wife... followed
by the ending FMV (can't tell it ^_^;)... close your Playstation
console until you saw the words "THE END"
SPECIAL BOSS: THE OMEGA WEAPON
Well, this is the MOST toughest BOSS of all Bosses in the game. Fancy
doing a damage of 9998 with it's Omega beam. The nightmare of FFV is
back on the game. Refer to Part II for more details.

Omega Weapon... Squall's and his party's worst nightmare. The most
toughest BOSS on FF8. The Torture Beam does an unbelievable of 9998 HP
to all members and the Omega Strike does a killing move to one
character. The BOSS has also a deadly spell that would kill all
members with a single move. The BOSS has a swipe that does 3000+ to
one member and the powerful meteor spell. The BOSS ocasionally will
unleash the Omega Beam that does 9999 HP damage to your character
WHY USE A HERO DRINK?
The Hero Drink could causes the Omega to miss its attacks on your
characters as it does 0 damage. The downside is that you can't use
magic on your characters as they are invisible! You have to wait for
the Hero Drink to wear off. For all strategies, put the Hero Drinks in
the front page of your inventory!
1ST METHOD contributed by ChaRle5!
Deadly huh? Firstly you have accquired a ton of Hero Medicine [changing
Laguna's card which is obtained by defeating Elone during your space
jounery] 2 of them can be obtained by defeating Edea [end of Disc 2]
and Seifer [end of Disc 3]. Use this constantly and it will make the
character semi-invisible and then use Squall's R1 trigger to attack
the BOSS. Have others doing the healing!
2nd METHOD contributed by Franksiskus Febrainto
There is something to take note. You must cast Aura before you used the
Hero Medicine or you can't cast Aura. Junction 100 Death Spells for
every character [protects against Death-All]. After casting Aura on
Squall, use a Hero Drink and have Squall unleashes the End of Heart.
3RD METHOD [I have finally come up with this method and it really
works!]
This is what I have used to defeat the Omega. First of all make sure
you have acquired the following. Have Squall, Irvine and Zell in your
party. Equip them with their best weapons [refer to part II on getting
the materials for it]. If not get the characters with the highest level
for this battle.
1. Equip Sakigeke for all characters [Pandemonium, Tonberi, Sabotander]
2. 50x Wave Bullets
3. Junction magic to the character's HP to 9999 [or equip "HP +80%"
from the Carbunkle, Diablo and Brothers]
5. Equip Auto Haste on Squall and have about 40x Aura spells in
Squall's inventory. About 20x Aura on Zell's inventory
6. Junction 100x Death to everyone's status defense [Grasharaboras,
Siren, Alexander] if their levels are multiple of five.
7. Equip ITEM for everyone's last command.
8. Have about 10x Hero Drink [more, if your character are at higher
levels] If you does not have enough, change Laguna's Card and get
100x of it].
9. Equip Dexrity +40% on Irvine [as he is the most well-rounded
character].
10. Do not junction Holy to your attributes attack. Instead for those
characters whom does not have Death spell, Holy works well for
status defense against Instant Death
METHOD:
As soon as you can get into battle, has Squall cast Aura on himself,
Irvine uses a Hero Drink on Zell, Zell uses a Hero Drink on Squall.
Have Squall uses his special moves [hopefully you can get "End of
Heart", you need to do this about 3 times to finish off the Omega].
When you have reaches Irvine's turn, use a Hero Drink. Have the other
character attack the BOSS with the ATTACK command. Note that you can
use Aura when your characters are invisible. Have Squall keep on using
his desperation moves and you will be able to finish the Omega in no
time. If the Hero Drink wears off before any other character, have
that character summon a G.F [the G.F will recieved the hit, it is
advisible to stock Life Magic for all characters. If any mishap has
happened to Squall, focus all on Irvine and Zell [their deseperation
moves packs a punch too!]
